Do you love the aromatic scent and characteristic taste of coffee, but want to do without caffeine? Then we might have something for you. At Post Bezau, we have been thinking about how you can enjoy coffee without the potential side effects of too much caffeine. Our solution: a detox coffee made from lupins.

Together with Barista Royal, we worked on our first own coffee that retains the typical coffee aroma and intense taste – and at the same time does without caffeine and also otherwise fits in with our ideas of a healthy diet.

You can also buy the matching handmade ceramic hand filter. This allows you to pour the coffee directly over the mug or pot.

Why lupins?

Lupins are a type of bean and belong to the legume family. They are rich in protein and contain all essential amino acids in a harmonious balance. The body cannot produce these itself. They are important for healthy cells - and for the formation of collagen. Collagen is the most abundant protein in the human body and ensures strong muscles, healthy bones and firm skin. The more collagen we have in our skin, the plumper and smoother it is and can counteract wrinkles.

What is lupin coffee?

Lupin coffee is an alternative to classic coffee. It does not contain caffeine or caffeic acid and is therefore much better tolerated and harmless to health. Lupin coffee is an infusion of roasted lupin seeds. As with bean coffee, the roasting process produces the typical aromatic compounds, a stimulating scent and the characteristic coffee flavour.

In addition, our Detox Coffee contains valuable minerals, trace elements and vitamins, including magnesium (has an anti-inflammatory effect, protects nerve, bone and stomach health), zinc (essential for fertility, involved in detoxification, strengthens skin and immune system), iron (cells need it for energy balance), vitamin B2 (needed to convert food into energy) and -B3 (a deficiency leads to fatigue, weakness and skin problems).
